ASBEC members consist of industry and professional associations, non-government organisations, academic and government observers who are involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of our built environment, and are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of this sector.
The benefits of ASBEC membership include:
-
A forum facilitated by ASBEC, where built environment groups find common ground and intelligently discuss pertinent issues.
-
Recognition as a member of the peak body in Australia to coordinate industry responses and provide input into a variety of issues relating to sustainability in the built environment.
-
Participation in the formulation of an agreed approach to regulation for sustainability in Australia. ASBEC creates a platform for communication across industry and government.
-
Members also use the Council as a network to advocate and disseminate knowledge about their own sustainability benefits and initiatives to wider industry.
